Tom Slater  - Tom lives in Nipomo, California, where he’s been a junior high teacher for nearly 30 years. A lifelong adventurer, Tom surfs the Central Coast, mountain bikes local trails, and climbs the granite walls of the Sierra Nevada. He’s led student trips across the U.S. and abroad, and is the visionary behind two major community projects in Nipomo: the town’s skate park and a newly completed disc golf course. Tom is married with two kids — a college-aged son and a teenage daughter.
